My Bio

Current Residence: Seattle

I have been painting since childhood. I received my BA in fine arts from UNO.

I began making chainmaille jewelry after a family member passed away and left me her tools and supplies. I used to help her sell her work online and had always been interested in learning.

I've had problems with anxiety so I find it much easier to work from home or in an academic environment.

Been a While

2 min read
Whew, Ok, in May of last year I developed two different autoimmune diseases at the same time, so I've been dealing with non stop tests and doctor stuff since then. In August of last year we moved to Seattle, the move was a week after I had my kidney biopsy, so I had to switch doctors in the middle of getting a diagnosis along with all the other moving stuff. But my treatment has been going pretty well. I've had very few day to day symptoms, its just alot of mental real estate taken up with tests and meds and dietary restrictions etc. Hopefully I'm past the most drastic treatments at this point. My course of immunosuppressants seem to have done a good job so far. My new place is fantastic, I've got a reasonable sized studio and a separate little sewing area. I need to get back in the studio painting again, I've still got one piece from my flood series unfinished. I've been having alot of fun decorating and painting the new place. So I have been doing some painting but it's

So I turn 35 today.  We've been in California for over a month now but we're still waiting on our stuff b/c of a port dispute.  Right now the only piece of furniture in the house is the new futon.  The company wouldn't let me move my paints so I'm going to have to replace all my liquid/paste art supplies.  A friend from the Netherlands has already sent me a new starter set as a birthday present. I didn't get any painting done in Enschede, although I had just primed a canvas and was still working out my sketches for it when we had to move.  I haven't uploaded any of my sketches from the past 2 years b/c my scanner wasn't working with the new

Big Move

Am in the Netherlands, Enschede specifically.  Will be stuck in hotel for a month before moving into tiny campus housing.  Getting my clothing and crafting/art supplies arranged in it will be a challenge, and of course still waiting for those to show up anyway.  Will be working smaller for a bit most likely.  Am freaking out alot and doing some serious hiding in hotel, yay anxieties.  I get to add a language barrier (all be it a mild one given the prevalence of English) to my normal Social Anxiety.  Wishing for my playstation so I could do some mindless dragon slaying, but it is still in transit as well.

Do you take commissions for your chain necklaces/collars?

I also have an ebay account and recently singed up for artfire which doesn't require signing up to make a purchase.

I have sold one or two things just though email as well, as long as the person has payal.
